Tom Ballard

At the age of 21, Tom has been invited performed at numerous venues around the country, such as The Mic in Hand, Sydney Comedy Store, Horden Pavillion and the Brisbane Powerhouse. He has been chosen to perform as a feature act at RAW Comedy finals, he was part of the star-studded Young Blood Comedy Tours in 2007 and 2008 and is a favourite at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Tom was one quarter of the 2008 Comedy Zone, a showcase of the best up and coming talent in the country as selected by the festival. The Melbourne Age described him as "lanky".

In April 2009, Tom brought his debut solo show, Tom Ballard Is What He Is to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and was the youngest person EVER to take out the prestigious Melbourne Airport Best Newcomer award. Tom was also nominated for a Golden Gibbo Award in the same year.

In 2010, Alex Dyson and Tom took over as triple j's breakfast hosts, where they continue to grow in popularity.

Tom's mum thinks he's quite funny, but wishes he wouldn't swear quite as much as he does.

"Watch this boy: he's going places."

- The Age

"He has the confidence, timing, presence and instincts of a comedian twice his age."

MC:

Ray Badran

Ray Badran

Ray Badran began his career in comedy by pouring beers at the Laugh Garage. He was eventually promoted to "comedian", and now has everybody laughing, not just the people ordering drinks. Soon after he started, he placed highly in every major Australian comedy competition and started to appear as a regular on the circuit.

He has appeared on the Footy Show, written for television, gigged all over Australia and supported some very famous international acts. As well as comedy, he works for a TV production company and has a fancy title which could mean he is very important or it might mean he got promoted from beer to coffee.
